Website Basics for Artists
I have been working as a web site designer since 1999 and am currently employed full time at Nantucket.net.
This workshop address the basic information you need in order to prepare for, set up and maintain a website. It includes terminology, an explaination of how hosting works. Working with a desinger and search engine basics. This work shop does NOT teach how to build a website or html.
A 3-3.5 hour workshop with a break seems optimal for the amount of info given. That includes time for questions with a group of about 25 people.
Charges:
- $200 for the 3 hour workshop
- Traveling expenses
- The lab fee is generally $5 for Xerox handouts
Requirements:
- A computer with projector and internet access If the group is very small then the Projector may not be needed.
- I need to be able to access the computer from the front of the room as I talk and while showing web site examples.
- A chalk or white board.
A few comments from past participants:
“Easy to follow the information; great information, well taught”
“Added to my knowledge base on web sites, vocabulary, methodologies, etc; well prepared”
“Learned a lot and actually understood it; she was clear and articulate.”
